Blanca LAFFON, Researcher

Blanca Laffon obtained a degree in pharmacy in 1996 and a PhD from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2001, for both of which she gained distinctions and awards. Her research is concerned with the study of the effects of pollutants on organisms, particularly on a cytogenetic and molecular level.
She has participated in about 20 national and international research projects, and she has received five awards. She was at the origin of about 60 scientific research articles and chapters in international book publications, and of 80 contributions at various conventions. She is a guest lecturer at the Royal Academy of Medicine and Surgery of Galicia.
