Eric BANEL, Managing Director

Eric Banel is an Administrator for Maritime Affairs. In May 2012, he became Managing Director of Armateurs de France, a professional organisation representing the French maritime transport and services companies.
He has held various roles in decentralised services, such as in Boulogne-sur-Mer and Reunion Island, but he also worked in central civil service roles for the French Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Ecology.  He was Co-Rapporteur of the working group on French maritime politics in 2006, and Maritime Advisor for several ministers including Dominique Bussereau and Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet. Between 2004 and 2006, he was the Head of Delegation at the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) of the International Maritime Organisation.
